The Ford Everest 2022 is described by FORD as a full SUV that is rugged on the outside, a sanctuary on the inside, and ready for anything. This claim is based on its unmatched capability, safety, and comfort.

Two different engines will power the Everest in 2022. (depending on the model). It will be the first in the series to include a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine with 184kW and 600Nm of torque, ideal for towing.

The tried and true 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel continues to impress, producing 154kW and 500Nm and giving a great combination of pulling power and fuel economy. Ford's 10-speed automatic transmission will be standard on both.

The Everest also has two powertrain options: Ambiente and Trend have 42 RWD, while 444 models have a sophisticated full-time 4WD system with an electronically controlled on-demand two-speed electromechanical transfer case (EMTC).

With optimized performance for diverse surfaces, road conditions, and vehicle usage, an e-Shifter provides a new level of high-tech control to your fingertips. LED daytime running lights, front fog lamps, and auto power fold mirrors are all standard.

It features everything you need for on and off road travel, including a 3,500kg braked towing capacity, rain detecting wipers, steel underbody protection (44) and two front tow hooks.

Everest will also stand out from the competition thanks to its modern interior design and use of SYNC 4 equipped 10.1-inch and 12-inch center displays, as well as a completely digital instrument cluster. The steering wheel is also height and reach adjustable.

The inside has five basic seats with the option of seven, pull-out cup holders, smart keyless entry, push-button start, and dual-zone temperature control. There's also an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and an inbuilt modem.

Some systems are supported, like wireless phone charging, an eight-speaker audio system, satellite navigation, traffic messaging, DAB+ digital radio, and a voice assistant. Remote start is also available from Ford.

Ford has also increased the number of standard safety features, including nine airbags and a comprehensive collision mitigation package that includes autonomous emergency braking, brake assist, post-impact braking, lane keep assist and lane departure alerts, as well as driver alert.

A digital reverse camera, auto lighting, and high beam are also available, as are front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic warning, and trailer coverage. Pricing and a release date have yet to be determined.
