CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS
FUTURING PEACE IN NORTHEAST ASIA
VIRTUAL DIALOGUE SERIES WITH NORTHEAST ASIAN YOUTH
How do youth envision the future?
The United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), is convening young people to a three-part Futures Dialogue Series dedicated to the role of youth in the future of Northeast Asia in 2060, starting on July 28, 2021.
Young people have the potential to build peaceful societies and support effective governance in their communities, now and in the decades to come. Through these dialogues, young people will go on a journey to collectively envision images of the future. These images will in turn be used to feed into policy ideas for international, regional and national actors, empowering young people to shape the future of their region through more inclusive and participatory governance.
If you are a young person (18-35 years old) from Northeast Asia and would like to take part in this exciting dialogue series, please find details about the project and application process from the link below.
Applications will be open until July 8, 2021.
If you are an individual or organization and know young people who will be interested in this project, please disseminate this email or the Twitter post linked below to your contacts and network.
