In this Policy Paper, published by the International Catalan Institute for Peace, Romeral Ortiz Quintilla, provides an overview of UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security, including its background, the efforts involved in advocating for such a resolution, presents the resolution itself and proposes some recommendations on the way forward.
About the Author
Romeral Ortiz Quintilla has a degree in Anthropology and a master’s degree in International Cooperation from the Free University of Brussels. Her career has focused on advocating for the recognition of the role of youth as peacebuilders. She is currently a specialist in youth and peace in Europe, and in Latin America and the Caribbean.
