Progress Study | Online Consultations

Youth4Peace Facilitator
Youth4Peace Facilitator • 5 April 2017

We are excited to launch the first series of Youth4Peace online consultations, which aim to gather inputs by young people and other stakeholders on a broad range of topics connected to the role of young people in sustaining peace, and the UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on youth, peace and security.

Starting on Friday 7 April 2017, one global e-consultation topic will be posted and left open for a period of 3 weeks, with a total of 5 global consultation topics being posted over a period of 15 weeks. Consultation topics may be left open for longer depending on the amount of engagement with participants. Regional e-consultations, in connection to in-person regional meetings, will begin shortly. These e-Consultations are being coordinated by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Peacebuilding Support Office (PBSO), Search for Common Ground (SfCG) and the United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY), working together through the inter-agency Working Group on Youth & Peacebuilding.

Contributions will feed into a Consolidated Reply that will expand the knowledge base available on the role of young people in sustaining peace and support the development of the Progress Study on Youth, Peace & Security mandated by UNSCR 2250.
